To many, this year's election seems like a rematch of 2020. It can feel extremely overwhelming––and disheartening––to face another election cycle with such high stakes. You might even want to retreat, look inwards, and avoid politics entirely this fall. In this FREE four-part series, we will talk about how we can use mindfulness and meditation practices to be more effective activists and have deeper conversations with loved ones about politics.

During this course we will also work on individualized plans for how we want to get out the vote and create the change we want to see for our country.

Course FAQ

WHAT IS DISCUSSION-BASED LEARNING?

Lectures and readings can only get you so far.  Roots to Revolution classes are structured to capitalize on the power of discussion among peers to enhance knowledge retention and critical thinking. Our classes contain a mixture of facilitator led discussion, peer group breakout rooms, and interactive lecture to help our students get the most out of each week’s learning material. 

DO I NEED TO PAY FOR ANY TOOLS OR SOFTWARE?

There’s no proprietary software needed to take our courses! Any course materials or reading lists are delivered via Google Classroom, a free Google extension, and our classes take place virtually via Zoom, which is a free app download for your desktop or mobile device. You will need an internet connection to access this workshop.
