Cat Lum (she/her)
Cat Lum is an educator, facilitator, and strategist based in Brooklyn, New York, who is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations realize their full potential. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to equity and systemic justice. As a co-founder of Roots to Revolution and consultant with Change Impact, she supports people to use their strengths to build community, social connections, and create change.
Most recently, Cat served as the Senior Director of Partnerships & Strategy at nXu, where she wore many hats, including leading a team to develop a K-12 curriculum designed to help students build durable skills, explore careers, and cultivate a strong sense of purpose and wellbeing. Her commitment to social change is also rooted in her foundational experience as a high school history teacher, instructional coach, and DEI facilitator at Uncommon Schools.
In her free time, Cat enjoys hiking, finding delicious food, and staying curious through podcasts and books on health, social justice, and wellbeing.
Cat holds a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University, an M.A. in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
